West: Debutant Oroville Circuit to close Pro-National West Series

The 2009 season kicked off with a thrilling event on the debutant Pima Motorsports Park Rockcrawling Circuit. The tour moved to the legendary Three Peaks Off-Highway Park in Cedar City for the second round.
The third round took place in all of the glitz and glamour that is the Sands Regency Casino and the debut of Reno Rocks. Now the circuit heads for its final stop, and another debutant course, this one is in Oroville, CA.
Like Tucson, Oroville, will find itself with a ton of excitment on the rocks. Unlike Tucson, the reason for the exictment differs because championships are on the line.
The Unlimited Class will see the final showdown between Cody Waggoner and Jesse Haines. Both drivers go into the final round of the year tied in the season standings.
With wins decided between Haines and Waggoner during the shootout this championship is sure to come down to the final obstacle of the Pro-National West Series season.
Brad Lovell was on top of the world going into Reno. He was sitting on a perfect season, and looked to be a lock for the 2009 championship.
However, this would not be the story after the shootout. Lovell would make an uncharacteristic mistake that would cost him his third win of the 2009 season.
Lovell would settle for third as Tracy Jordan would find his way back to W.E.ROCK victory lane. Lovell still holds the points lead, but the top of the Pro-Modified class smell blood and are out to unseat the points leader at the end of the season.
It's Brad Lovell vs. the entire Pro-Modified Class, and it will be a 9 round knock down drag out brawl in Oroville. The victor will be W.E.ROCK's Pro-National West Series Champion.
The Modified Stock championship isn't the main story. The story is really about the battle for the win, and not the championship. Justin Hall holds a commanding lead over Larry Karver in the ponts standings, and the rookie looks primed to be crowned Modified Stock Champion.
The interesting battle will be between Hall and Todd Stephenson. Stephenson was late entering the championship chase, but two very close races with Justin Hall makes things very interesting.
Hall won Tucson, but Stephenson has been victorious the rest of the season. Both drivers may pilot vastly different Suzuki Samurai vehicles.
However, it has only been Suzuki in victory lane, and by the way things appear this will be a Suzuki sweep in Modified Stock. Just which Suzuki will do it? Formula Toyota has been the sight of some bloody battles this season.
Tucson was a close race been John James and Jeff Mello. James would take the first win. Jeff Mello would skip Cedar City, and Brian Ellinger would slip by John James to claim the second win of the year.
Jeff Mello would return to the drivers seat at Reno and would take his 100th career off-road win and first win in W.E.ROCK's Formula Toyota class. WIth all being wide open in the driver's class could we be up for a no repeat winner season?
This and all other story lines will be followed as the teams wrap up the Pro-National West Series on the new course in Oroville, CA.

East: Dayton to conclude the 2009 regular season

The 2009 W.E.ROCK Pro-National East Series Finale will be the conclusion of the regular W.E.ROCK season. The travelling circus will move the exciting M.E.ROCK Arena near Dayton, TN to conclude the season.
A championship fight will be underway when the teams get to Dayton. Carl Shortridge picked up the victory in Rausch Creek, and will go into the finale with the points lead.
Chicky Barton will be right in tow, and sitting right off of Shortridge in the standings will be looking to steal his first Pro-National East Championship.
Shannon Campbell has been perfect this season in Pro-Modified. The Monster Energy team goes into Dayton with a commanding points lead over Derek West, but one bobble from Campbell, and Derek West could steal the 2009 championship.
The Stock Modified has been interesting this season with three different winners. However, Ricky Artes is the points leader, and is looking to seal the deal with a return to victory lane at Dayton.
David Wine will go into Dayton with the target firmly planted on him in Formula Toyota. The Virginia driver is the clear favorite to win it all.
However, a whole field of drivers including Adam Brooks, Marc Zaboth, and Wade Sullens are looking to grab the final winners trophy of 2009.
For the first time in W.E.ROCK Pro-National East history an event will be run at night, and 2009 season will conclude under the lights. Will you be there as the historic 2009 season concludes?
Mark your calendars for August 1st and 2nd, and get ready to watch the fire on the mountain, as the war for the 2009 Pro-National East championship concludes.

Haines steals win, Jordan pulls upset, Stephenson goes two in a row, and Mello wins big at Reno Rocks!
On the largest stage presented to a rockcrawling event, the 2009 Reno Rocks, was a down to the wire war for the W.E.ROCK Pro-National East Series. The Sands Regency Casino's temporary course provided enough action to fill a stadium. Jeff Mello and Todd Stephenson would kick off the festivities and would find victory lane. For Mello, he would pick up his 100th career off-road victory with his Formula Toyota win. For Stephenson, he would hold off a hard charging, Justin Hall, to win his second consecutive Modified Stock win. Tracy Jordan would steal the victory from Pro-Modified points leader, Brad Lovell, after Lovell crashed during his shootout run. In similar fashion, Jesse Haines, would steal the win from Cody Waggoner after his rig suffered mechanical failure during the shootout. Waggoner and Haines would leave Reno tied in the championship standings.
