W.E. Rock Professional Rock Crawling Eastern Series Kicks Off at Rausch Creek this Weekend
Professional Rock Crawling Saturday and Sunday April 25th and 26th starting at 10am Eastern Time
The first round of the Maxxis Tires W.E. Rock Eastern Professional Rock Crawling Series comes to Rausch Creek this weekend starting the 15th year of regular season competition. The event is very spectator and family friendly with the professional drivers available to sign autographs for the crowd in midst of the competition. “We are excited to be back Rock Crawling at Rausch Creek. The concrete, manmade courses, haven’t been used by W.E. Rock in over 6 years giving all the competitors some very technical lines with a lot of traction,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “The weather looks to be perfect for two days of rock crawling with temperatures in the 60’s and dry. We have heard about lots of spectators coming out to enjoy and we are looking forward to hosting another great show!”
Professional Rock Crawling is one of the most intricate sports in the motorsports arena. It is technical, mechanical and filled with action. The rock courses are setup where spectators can bring their chairs and be able to see multiple courses running at the same time. The two-day format includes 4 courses of competition on Saturday and another 4 courses on Sunday, with a final shootout on Sunday night, which usually determines the final finishing positions! The winner will be determined by the driver that has the least amount of points at the end of the weekend, similar to golf.
There are returning teams, new teams and some that have not competed in a few years committed to competing, some driving over 10 hours to be part of this professional series. Local 4×4 offroaders are encouraged to participate in the Sportsman Class and join us in two days of competition and fun. Vehicles must have doors, roof, 4 point harnesses, 2 fire extinguishers and competitors must wear DOT helmets.
